It started as a gift for my nieces and nephews. Becoming an aunt sparked memories of my Grandma, someone I loved very much. As I remembered the stories she told me and the old photos floated through my mind, I became obsessed with making sure they – and she – wouldn’t be forgotten.
The solution turned out to be my very first Talking Memoir. It was a huge project, but to this day it is still one of the best things I have ever done.
A few years later I was living on a boat in a very small town in Florida (that is a story for another time) and needed to make a living. My background was in process analysis and efficiency – the type of thing large corporations do. There are no large corporations in Crystal River.
One day I was telling a friend about the memoir I created and found myself saying “everyone should have one of these”. It was a lightbulb moment. I used my experience in process analysis to find a way for you to be able to create a memoir and have the same wonderful experience talking to your loved ones that I had, without buying a lot of software and spending weeks putting it together.
